Yoga for Humanitarian Aid
Marta Schoenle leads this Hatha Yoga style class that is open to all levels. The charity changes each month and is centered around local organizations. Past yoga fundraisers include The Florence Project, Derechos Humanos, Kino Border Initiative and The Community Food Bank.

Activism via Yoga
The new look for Emma Bell’s Fourth Friday Fundraiser previously hosted by Grounded Wellness. She has partnered with 4th Avenue Yoga and moved the All Bodies Rise Yoga practice to select Saturdays. Each month the class will benefit an anti-oppression movement in Tucson.

Amelia Rustaey leads a Vinyasa Flow class, open to all levels, once a month in support of various local charities. So far she has raised money for Casa Mariposa, The Samaritans, Cold Wet Noses, Owl and Panther, Coalition to Stop Gun Violence and Treasures 4 Teachers.

Session Yoga (Central)

Karma Session
Every Sunday for the past six years Session Yoga has been hosting yoga fundraisers for a variety of charities. This all-levels Power Yoga class is taught by Anna Alkozei. Over the years they have supported the Humane Society, Ben’s Bells, Tu Nidito, Hermitage Cat Shelter, System Coalition, Bicas and many, many more.

Yoga for a Cause
Tucson Yoga now offers a weekly hour-long practice in support of Farashe Yoga with Courtney Frogge. Farashe, which means “butterfly” in Arabic, is a nonprofit and volunteer-based community yoga movement in the heart of Ramallah and working throughout occupied Palestine.

Other upcoming yoga fundraisers include The Humane Society, Tucson Second Chance Community Bail Fund, Veteran’s Yoga Project and the Jewish History Museum/Holocaust History Center.

Yoga by Donation | Meditation by Donation
Two Hatha Yoga classes and one meditation class are offered weekly by donation with 40% of the proceeds going to the charity of the month. Some of the organizations include Cold Wet Noses, SAAF, Southern AZ Network for Down Syndrome, Habitat for Humanity, St. David Retreat Center and Monastery and many more.

The classic Yoga Oasis style flow class is offered twice a week by donation with 50% of the proceeds going to the International Refugee Committee. Studio Director Darren Rhodes leads the Tuesday practice and Grace Sultan leads the Friday practice.
