Formerly in Northpointe Village Center and Cottonwood Plaza, Barefoot Studio relocated to the Casas Adobes Plaza at Ina and Oracle in early August. Their grand re-opening is set for Saturday, September 14, 8am-12pm.
About the Studio
The 2600 square foot space, newly-remodeled by G and J Construction of Tucson, previously held the second story of Bluefin Seafood Bistro. Barefoot is the first tenant since Bluefin closed in May 2015.
Owner Brianna Arndt has been involved in healing, exercise and nutrition for 20 years. A decade after becoming a certified medical massage therapist she became a yoga instructor.
Then, in 2011, Arndt founded Barefoot. Two years later, she opened Barefoot Studio Yoga School to offer training to aspiring yoga teachers.
Currently, 17 Yoga Alliance registered yoga teachers—including Arndt—lead Barefoot’s group classes.
Yoga Classes & More
The schedule includes over 40 classes. Offerings at peak times occur simultaneously, so students may select the style they prefer. Classes range from Gentle Yoga to Power Yoga and everything in between.
In addition to regularly scheduled group classes, Barefoot offers private instruction and workshops. They cover topics such as Yoga for Osteoporosis, Yoga for Sinus & Allergy Relief and Yoga Modifications.
Arndt also leads a free, monthly Yoga Elixir class that combines gentle movement and a 12-tone crystal bowl sound bath to benefit those with on-going health concerns or who are in recovery.
